Dorling Kindserling’s (DK) World Atlas is a great resource for travel and/or fact buffs. Also, their travel books are a must for any trip. What’s unique about DK travel books is that in addition to maps, local facts, lists of famous spots, “must sees”, etc., their guides include 3D layouts of famous buildings, museums, and such with interesting facts accompanying them. Their maps are welcome companions when in unfamiliar locales. Overall, in my opinion, they are some of the top travel guides around.
